An onsite/online training was held on February 4 in Stuttgart, Germany by our mentor Peter Bittner, European Patent Attorney specialized in IP strategy development and the protection of software innovations on Technology Transfer, Innovation and IP strategy. During the morning session Peter introduced the basic concepts of Intellectual Property (IP). During the afternoon session we focused on IP Strategy as an integral part of Corporate Strategy and the ways of integrating innovation strategy and IP strategy. The training closed with a interactive workshop session on a realistic startup scenario, where the groups developed their own solution to a real life IP problem based on the knowledge they acquired through the training.

The afternoon session also served a double purpose: the team of the FET/EIC Pathfinder project EVFoundry joined the training online from Aarhus, thus utilizing their regular project meeting with the opportunity to gain further knowledge on IP related issues.

This blended learning event was a success for both the onsite and online participants, so we plan to organize similar trainings in the future.

Credentials from EVFoundry: “I need to thank you again for the WS organisation, I got some very good feedback internally and would like to pass this to you.”
