On October 22 the FET Briefing project organized an online matchmaking event for FET/EIC Pathfinder researchers and companies. We focused on projects in medical and cancer research.

First the consortium partner innomine introduced the Briefing project and outlined possible user journeys of the FET/EIC Pathfinder projects.

Then in the “science block” the following 4 FET/EIC Pathfinder researchers introduced their projects.

The SUMCASTEC project exploring radically new approach for cancer stem cells (CSCs) real time isolation (i.e. within minutes vs current 40 days) and neutralization was introduced by Dr. Cristiano Palego

Dr. Božena Čechalová talked about the PETER project, which is establishing a brand novel terahertz-frequency EPR micro-spectroscopic technique based on a combination of plasmonic-based magnetic field enhancement and scanning probe microscopy.

The AMPHORA project examining acoustic markers for enhanced remote sensing of radiation doses was presented by Dr. Marcus Ingram.

Finally XPECT INX, a spin off project focussing on the development and commercialisation of bioinks was introduced by Dr. Jasper Van Hoorick.

After the presentations the participants took part in an open discussion about possible synergies and cooperation opportunities.

On behalf of the business stakeholders the representatives of Microsoft CEE, Hungarian Academy of Sciences, University pf PécsTechnology Transfer Institute, European startup companies and business angels and individual investors from the IRSUS network (Innovation Radar Support Service) were present.

The video recording of the event and the presentations are available in our Marketplace. Please log in or register here to access them among other valuable training materials. >> Marketplace, BRIEFING Matchmaking under New topics/News.
